'Art of the Title'
From reading thee article of the art of the title, i have learnt that all title sequences can be different and they aren't all the same, however it is expected that some topics and themes that are used are more popular than others. And, the audience are introduced to most of the characters and themes that will be portrayed within the film, in the title sequence of fast paced editing and overlapping shots. Moreover, these themes are either extremely popular or just on trend at the time and they are creating from topics escalating all around the world. When it comes to title design, there are specific narratives for which some title designs are ideal for. Sometimes because of film company's budgets, title sequence real estate is used to create innovative and abstract titles, creating mystery and letting the audience into unseen worlds. Inner workings is used by many different spectrum of genres, however they are mostly associated with sci-fi and fantasy genres.
A successful title sequence needs to include quite an abstract theme all the way through, therefore it is not giving any strong messages away of what the film is actually going to be about. However they also need to grab the audience at the very start, otherwise, the audience won't want to carry on watching the film any further.
